The advanced biology class has been studying cellular metabolism- cellular respiration, photosynthesis and fermentation. To see fermentation in action, the students started some old-fashioned yeast carbonated root beer. They also are making a batch of kombucha- a fermented tea. Cross your fingers for us that these concoctions taste delicious when they are finished!

The sophomore biology class has been studying Mendelian genetics- including how blood types are inherited. Today they used simulated blood to determine the parents of two babies mixed up in a fictional hospital. Good times in science!
