Senior 2024- Nethaniel Bosch
“Hounddog,” aka Nethaniel Bosch, is a combustion connoisseur. Though working on engines is his main passion in life, metal-working, rebuilding old cars, fishing, hunting, and family are all important to him. To the youngsters still at JCS he says: “Put your tools back where you got them and stop stealing the tape measure.” After graduation he hopes to move to Texas and go to school to be a diesel mechanic.

Joseph will still be having conferences this morning for those who can make it. 🌨
Senior 2024- Nick Watts
Phone-dropping, fast-moving, and faith-based, Nick Watts is a believer in sympathy; even though he might not agree with some people’s actions or choices, it doesn’t stop him from focusing on the saying “love your neighbor.” Nick says the craziest part about graduating is realizing you relied on yourself more than you might think. So go out there and pursue your dreams, even if others think you have your head in the clouds. “It is what it is.”

A group of the track kids are wearing their new season t-shirts. A fundraiser designed by Kane Johnson. How many of you can relate? 😊😂

Senior 2024- Brandon Cox
Fiction writer, actor, and rock-solid friend, Brandon Cox has spent the past four years more or less on auto-pilot. He’d like to thank coffee for most of his high school success. He will be pursuing creative writing at Lewis-Clark State College where story, screenwriting, and the world of ideas reign. On graduating, Brandon says, “I will genuinely forget almost anything; what you see before you is a miracle; every day is Ground Hog Day."

Published poet, prize winning painter, hard-working service industry employee, mentor and teacher of kindergarteners, Isabella Snyder should be on America’s Got Talent. Her dynamic and intuitive artistry can be seen in her top notch English and government classwork. As for art, her teacher describes her creativity, positivity, and willingness to experience new techniques a trifecta of terrificness. Next year she will be attending COCC and concentrating on… art!

Senior 2024- Aimee Meyers
Sassy competitor, and older sister, Aimee Meyers sets the bar for herself and others. Full of as much vinegar and sass as sugar and spice, it is Aimee’s goal to continue pushing herself into uncharted life experiences like owning a big farm, having a big family, and living a big life. Bold as an eagle, Aimee is looking forward to spreading her wings and launching at whatever storms and sunshine comes her way. Next year she will attend Boise State and major in accounting.

Next year Rose plans to attend an in-state college, knowing she made the best of highschool. She would like to Major in Psychology and Family Sciences.

Have a safe & wonderful Spring Break!

The Wallowa County Stockgrowers Association and Joseph School District have partnered up to get beef donations into all three Wallowa County school cafeterias. After hearing how Baker schools managed their beef donations at the Farm to School Conference in February, Miranda Micka, the Child Nutrition Program Manager for the Joseph School District thought Wallowa County could easily put the same program into place.
Ranchers wishing to donate beef should notify Miranda Micka (541-263-1560) and call Billy Bob’s (USDA Certified) in Elgin, OR to arrange processing (541-437-6328). Ranchers can request a donation receipt from Miranda to use for tax purposes. Each school has obtained Farm to School Reimbursement grants to cover the processing cost. Once the beef is ready for pick up, Miranda Micka will distribute the beef to Wallowa, Enterprise, and Joseph Schools. Miranda would like to thank Cynthia Warnock for being a great point of contact with the Stockgrowers and for all her help coordinating this effort.
