All JCS staff attended A.L.I.C.E training today. A.L.I.C.E was developed to ensure schools are prepared to proactively handle the threat of an intruder or active shooter. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate). A big THANK YOU to our great instructor, Ken Thaxter.

Wallowa Valley Youth Arts Festival starts Saturday noon till 4pm Drop by and check out what students have been creating! The Show runs through May 20.

Mr. Micka's 5th & 6th grade science classes got to dissect Steelhead this afternoon. A big THANK YOU to the Forest Service for coming in and helping our students.

KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUP Thursday April 20th, 2023 5:30-6:30pm

High School Track Pictures will take place on Tuesday, April 25th. Jr. High pictures will be Wednesday, April 26th. The original date changed due to weather conditions.

There are a few extra Track t-shirts available, if anyone is interested. Short sleeve sizes: YM, Adult M, L, XL. There is one long-sleeve, size L available as well. Shirts are $15. Please message Mrs. Homan I'm interested.

MCT Auditions!

Mr. Gorham hosted a high school assembly honoring our 3rd Quarter Honor Roll students with GPA's of 3.5, 3.75 and 4.0 students. Bravo to Joseph Charter Theater Arts students! This talented group wrote and performed an original, Macbeth-inspired play based in the 1920's. Next stop, Broadway!

JCS middle school is preparing their egg drop challenge in physical science. Some very interesting designs from these future innovators! Plus, they were fortunate enough to get some design advice from retired NASA engineer, Mr. DeWitt!
